RULES

General Art RP
general

1. Remember to be kind.

We ask that everyone treat each other with respect, whether they’re a member, a moderator, or a guest. Bullying, harassment, and antagonistic behavior will not be tolerated - and will result in removal from the group if unchecked.

Hatespeech that promotes transphobic/racist/homophobic/bigoted rhetoric will be immediately removed and result in a swift ban.

2. You need a Discord account in order to join.

Most, if not all group participation will take place in the Discord server.

3. This group is 16+.

Boogey Bay will feature topics and themes that might not be suitable for those under a certain age bracket. Members must be 16 or older to join. Lying about age/joining under this minimum will result in a ban.

4. Keep NSFW topics and graphic imagery out of the main server/rp server/ applications.

This applies to Discord nicknames and icons as well. If you’re uncertain whether or not something is appropriate, you may privately message one of our mods!

art

1. No bases, doll makers, traced, or AI assisted art.

For the most part, we want the art to be yours - not someone else's! Memes and screencap redraws have more leniency, but you must credit the original source.

2. Commissioned Artwork is allowed for applications, however..

Keep in mind that we may require visual changes if the design doesn’t follow our rules.

Commissioned artwork also cannot be submitted for Boobucks.

3. Be sure to spoiler images that may be triggering or intense.

We do allow blood, mild gore, and eye strain to be posted - we just asked they be spoiler tagged ahead of time.

4. No full nudity or pornographic content.

We allow partial nudity, such as exposed chests and doll bases for characters - but genitalia cannot be visible.

Mildly suggestive content may be judged on a case by case basis, but artwork depicting explicit sexual acts is not allowed, period.

roleplay

1. Your character needs to be accepted into the group before you can use them in RP.

This is pretty self explanatory. Your character needs a mod approved application before you can unleash them into the town.

2. No godmodding/metagaming/powerplaying/etc.

It's unfair if your character can dodge everything that comes their way and never misses an attack, or if they know something that's only been said out of character. It's even more unfair if you attempt to control someone else's character and assume their actions without talking to your roleplay partner first.

3. Remember to communicate.

As a follow up to the rule before - please communicate with your roleplay partner(s)! If something makes you uncomfortable, or you don't like the direction the roleplay is heading, speak up! If someone is expressing discomfort, be sure to listen to them. Don’t force plot points or character interactions if they are unwanted - this includes romantic relationships.

4. Leave room in the spotlight!

Roleplaying is a collaborative effort, and everyone wants their chance to shine. Try not to steal other characters moments or make the entire roleplay revolve around your characters. If you wish to roleplay with yourself, we ask to do it in moderation for short replies and to avoid it entirely for long form roleplay. If you wish to show us interactions between your characters, feel free to write a short story with them.
